Waite, a long time resident of this vicinity, died Sunday eve. at the home of her son J. F. Waite, north of Woodbine. Death was caused by a paralytic stroke which she suffered April 2. Mrs. Waite was born in Clearfield county, Pa., on April 30 1849, (the daughter of John and Margaret Kritzer) and died April 6, 1919, aged 69 years, 11 months, and 6 days. On June 9, 1883, in Penn., she was united in marriage to W. E. Waite who preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons and one daughter, Wm. Horn of Lodge Pole, Nebr., J. F. Waite of Woodbine, and Mrs. C. W. Miller of South Sioux City, Nebr. Besides these are two brothers, William and Frank Kritzer and one sister Mary Diamond (Diller?) of DuBois, Pa. Mrs. Waite had lived in this vicinity since 1891. She was a member of the Church of Christ and of the Woman's Relief Corps at Woodbine. Mrs. Waite was of a cheerful disposition and a good neighbor and kind friend. She will be greatly missed by her family and her friends. Funeral services were held at the Christian church Tuesday afternoon, being conducted by the pastor, V. M. Elston. Burial was made in the Woodbine Cemetery. Notes: Mrs. Waite was named Lucinda A. Kritzer. She was the second wife of William E. Waite. She and her husband are buried under the older spelling of Weight. She owned nothing but a cow and a horse at her death.
