A previous Evergreen cemetery transcription project had listed the DOD as July 10, 1941. That was the date she was buried. Because she actually died in Milton, in Van Buren county, Iowa, those doing the transcription project may not have known the exact DOD and assumed that the burial date was the same as the death date - not an uncommon situation. GEORGE SIX DIED TUESDAY Injuries received in accident June 12 proved fatal for Milton woman Mrs. George Six, 76, passed away yesterday in the home of a daughter, Mrs. Leo Hissem, at Milton. Mrs. Six in the mother of G. L. Six, 505 West Madison St., Fairfield. Death came as a result of injuries in an automobile accident near Shenanandoah on June 12. Mrs. Six and a party of relatives were en route to visit her brother in Nebraska. None of the other occupants of the automobile were injured. In the crash Mrs. Six sustained a broken shoulder, fractured ribs, and a severe head injury. She was taken to the Shenandoah hospital hospital and was pronounced sufficiently recovered two weeks ago to be returned to her home. It was anticipated that she would be completely recovered in a few days, and her sudden death came as a distinct shock to relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock in the Milton Methodist church with the pastor, Rev. Butler, former local Methodist circuit minister, in charge. The body will be brought to Evergreen cemetery in Fairfield for burial. Mrs. Six's husband preceded her in death approximately four years ago. The family resided in this community for about twenty years, before going to Milton to make their home seventeen years ago. The G. L. Six family will attend the funeral services in Milton.
