She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, Ladies Aid of St. John Lutheran Church, Better Homes Extension Club. She is preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Emma Poppe; husband, Fred C. Kapperman; son-in-law, Jesse Jensen. She is survived by daughters, Carolyn Jensen of Superior, Linda (Jay) Jensen of Chester; grandchildren, Darren (Melanie) Jensen, Jason (Melissa) Jensen, Sarah (Greg) Mata, Michael Jensen, Kevin (Karen) Jensen, Jenilee Jensen; great-grandchildren, Paige Jensen, Makenna Jensen, Brenden Jensen, Connor Mata, Hayden Jensen, Tabitha Jensen; sisters, Bernice Dutton of Chester, Leora Grafelmann of Omaha; brothers, Alvin (Betty) Poppe of Chester, Norman (Livila) Poppe of Chester, Willis (Helen) Poppe of Riley, Kan., nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. She was a very loving, devoted farm wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, friend, neighbor, church member. A special person that gave 87 years of memories all will cherish. Everything she did came from her faith, family and the abundant love she had and her humility would say "that's all that's important, you know." Funeral services were held July 12 at St. John Lutheran Church, Chester, conducted by Pastor Brad Boyer. Interment was in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, rural Chester.
