Description	:	Luella Bahnsen Funeral services were held for Luella Bahnsen, 64, of Wyoming at 11:00 a.m. March 7 in the Zion American Lutheran church. Burial was in Wyoming Cemetery. The Rev. Gregory Hanemann officiated. Arrangements were by the Hayden Funeral Home. Pallbearers were John Wurst, Jay and John Bahnsen, Howard Emerson, James Willman and Dr. A.G Rexstad. She was born Oct 29, 1920 near Wyoming to Fred and Anna Luckstedt Pankow. She graduated from Wyoming High School in 1938. On April 24, 1940, she married Lafayette Bahnsen in the Zion American Lutheran church, Wyoming. She lived her entire life in Wyoming. She was employed for several years by Adra Lane in his meat market and grocery store: She worked as a waitress in several restaurants in Jones County. The last few years, she has been a bookkeeper and receptionist for Dr. A.G. Rexstad. At one time she was a local correspondent for several area newspapers, including the Anamosa Journal-Eureka. She was a member of the American Zion Lutheran church, where she served as organist for 40 years; the American Lutheran church Women, in which she held many local and district offices; the American Legion Auxiliary, Wyoming Unit; and was currently serving as president of the Wyoming Progressive Club. She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. Allan (Luanne) Heitschusen of South Amana; three sons, Laurel of Wyoming, Laverne of Anamosa and Louis of Marion; seven grandchildren and one half-sister, Mrs. Eva Fedderson of Loveland, Colo. Preceding her in death were her parents and two infant sisters.
