She was born May 14, 1921, at Beebe, the daughter of Jesse and Norma (Gustin) Peck. She graduated from Manson High School in 1938. Read More	Lyla Peck Milroy - Posted October 28, 2002 Manson Lyla Peck Milroy, 81, a longtime resident of Manson, died Tuesday, Oct. 22, 2002, at Chelan following an extended illness. She was born May 14, 1921, at Beebe, the daughter of Jesse and Norma (Gustin) Peck. She graduated from Manson High School in 1938. She then attended the University of Washington, where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing and received her Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Colorado. She was a veteran of W.W. II, serving the Army Air Corps and later continued her career with the U.S. Air Force until her retirement in 1968. For about six years during the 1940s, she was married to Robert Milroy. Following her retirement from the U.S. Air Force, she resided at Denver, CO, until 1976. She then returned to Manson and was a partner in the P & M Orchard until 1987, when the orchard was sold. She was a member of North Shore Bible Church. Survivors include a brother, Lynne Peck, of Trinidad; numerous nieces and nephews; foster brother, Edward Reynolds of Benson, AZ; and a longtime friend and business partner, Sally Pierson of Manson. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Richard. Services will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2002, at 11 a.m. from Precht Rose Chapel with Donn Plew officiating. Private interment will be at Fraternal Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a favorite charity. Services are under the direction of Precht Rose Chapel, Chelan.
