Description	:	Mabel Caroline Blohm, the daughter of Joseph and Fredericka Berg Blohm, was born Dec. 4, 1899 in Audubon County and passed away at Audubon County Memorial Hospital on March 11, 1975, at the age of 75 years, 3 months, and seven days. She was a member of the Audubon United Methodist church. She spent most of her life in Audubon and Audubon County except for a few years spent in Colorado with her brother Charles. Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Martha Blohm and Ella Hoover; and six brothers, William, Charles, Henry, Louis, Frank, and Fred Blohm. Survivors include one... Read More	Mabel Caroline Blohm, the daughter of Joseph and Fredericka Berg Blohm, was born Dec. 4, 1899 in Audubon County and passed away at Audubon County Memorial Hospital on March 11, 1975, at the age of 75 years, 3 months, and seven days. She was a member of the Audubon United Methodist church. She spent most of her life in Audubon and Audubon County except for a few years spent in Colorado with her brother Charles. Preceding her in death were her parents; two sisters, Martha Blohm and Ella Hoover; and six brothers, William, Charles, Henry, Louis, Frank, and Fred Blohm. Survivors include one sister, Minnie Collins of Omaha, Nebraska; three sisters-in-law: Anna Blohm and Mary Blohm, both of Audubon, and Cathreen Blohm of Omaha, also a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Vernon Sorensen March 13, 1975 at to:30 a.m. in United Methodist Church. Internment was in the Maple Grove cemetery in Audubon. Casket bearers were John Blacketer, Gary Blohm, Glen Blohm, Harvey Blohm, Louis Blohm, and Eugene Hansen. Notes: Cause of death: Colon cancer. Aunt Mabel took in boarders when she and Uncle Charley were living in the big Blohm house after their parents had died. One of the boarders, Petro C. Brondt, lived there several years. Mr. Brondt served in the army in World War I and farmed near Audubon until he retired. Mr. Brondt would take Aunt Mabel and Uncle Charley on errands and help them when he could. He died in 1969 and is buried in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
