Description	:	Retired Air Force Major Jack B. Fisher, 63, Route 1, Box 92, Dawson, died Saturday morning, June 19, 1993, at the Humboldt Community Memorial Hospital. Born in Barada on Sept. 29, 1929, he was a son of the late William L. Fisher and Elizabeth Ann Percival Fisher. He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska, Omaha. Read More	Retired Air Force Major Jack B. Fisher, 63, Route 1, Box 92, Dawson, died Saturday morning, June 19, 1993, at the Humboldt Community Memorial Hospital. Born in Barada on Sept. 29, 1929, he was a son of the late William L. Fisher and Elizabeth Ann Percival Fisher. He was a graduate of the University of Nebraska, Omaha. Mr. Fisher was married to Lois Lucile Rhinehart on July 25, 1953, Shubert. She died Feb. 13, 1988. On Jan. 8, 1989, he was married to Irene Ehmen Burgess in Dawson. At the time of his death, Mr. Fisher was a rancher. He had lived in Dawson since 1970. He had also lived in Rapid City, S.D., and numerous places throughout the world while he was in the service. Entering the service in 1951, Mr. Fisher retired from the United States Air Force on Feb. 1, 1971, at Offutt Air Force Base. He flew T33's and F86's. He was past commander of the 1st Operational Minuteman Missile Squad, Ellis AFB, Rapid City. He received a silver medal, a Purple Heart and a Bronze Star. Mr. Fisher was a member, past quartermaster and, at the time of his death, commander of VFW Post No. 1765. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 102, a member of BPO Elks Lodge No. 963, a member of the Dawson Rural Fire Board, and a past member and officer of the Dawson-Verdon School Board. He was also a charter member of the Nebraska Cattleman's Association, a member and past president of the Nemaha Valley Livestock Association, and a member and past president of the Nebraska Livestock Association. Survivors include his wife, Irene, of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Kevin (Lucy) Sheets, Murdock and Mrs. Rodger (Nancy) Cooper, Falls City; one son, Mark Fisher, Omaha; Two stepsons, Gary Ehmen, New Knoxville, Ohio, and Donald Burgess,Jr., DuBois; one stepdaughter, Kim Othmer, Elk Creek; four brothers, Roger Fisher and Tom Fisher, Sabetha, Paul Fisher, Omaha, and Phil Fisher, Dawson; two sisters, Mrs. Merlin (Fern) Wenger, Sabetha, and Erma Fisher, Kansas City, Mo; four grandchildren and three step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Warren, in infancy. Funeral services for Mr. Fisher will be held at 2 p.m. Tues. at the Clark Funeral Home. Roger Fisher will officiate. Burial will be in the Harris Cemetery, Barada. Military graveside services will be conducted by the Falls City Ceremonial Honor Guard and Company B, 2nd Battalion, 134th Infantry, Nebraska National Guard.
