Description	:	FULLERTON — Marcyanna Mary Voichahoske, 89, of Fullerton, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2017, at Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital in Central City. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Fullerton, with the Rev. Richard Whiteing officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Fullerton. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton is in charge of the arrangements. Burial will follow at St. Peter Catholic Cemetery in Fullerton. Palmer-Santin Funeral Home in Fullerton is in charge of the arrangements. Marcyanna was born on Oct. 29, 1927, to Joseph and Monica “Minnie” (Czapla) Dubas Sr. in rural Palmer. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith, which was the center of her life along with her family. She graduated from Fullerton High School in May 1945. She graduated from college in Central City and became a teacher. She taught in rural schools from 1945 to 1955. She also taught CCD from 1946 to 1954 and 1972 to 1974. In 1974, she became the director of the CCD program until she retired in 1986. She continued to serve her Lord and her parish in various capacities in St. Ann’s Altar Society and other church activities. She also served her church family by managing the prayer list for the ministry of praise for many years until her death. Marcyanna enjoyed sewing clothes for herself and her children and created beautiful quilts until her vision began to fail. She married the love of her life, Edward Frank Voichahoske on Oct. 25, 1954. They were devoted to each other and to their six children, Michael, Nadine, Allen, Donald, Lori and Patrick. She was an attentive wife and mother, as they raised their family on a farm southeast of Fullerton. She began gathering family genealogy in 1960 and continued to add to her extensive collection of family information until two days prior to her passing. She had published genealogy books on her parents’ families and also on her husband’s families which included: Dubas, Czapla, Voichahoske and Malek books. She had collected information on many extended branches of these families as they grew. Marcyanna leaves to celebrate her life her husband, Edward Voichahoske of Fullerton; her children, Michael Voichahoske of Fullerton, Nadine (Steve) Johnson of Norfolk, Allen Voichahoske and Donald (Kathy Konwinski) Voichahoske, all of Fullerton, Lori (Allan) Spenner of Columbus, and Patrick (Stephanie Gray) Voichahoske of Lincoln; 10 grandchildren, Andrea Johnson Henshall of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Jessica Johnson of Ft. Walton, Fla., Matthew (Jordan Higgins) Voichahoske of Ft. Worth, Texas, Melissa Voichahoske of Lincoln, Katie and Emma Voichahoske of Fullerton, Samantha Spenner of Omaha, Joshua Spenner of Wayne, Brittany (Nathan) Bloch of Waverly, and Corttany Voichahoske of Lincoln; one great-grandchild, Connor James Voichahoske of Ft. Worth, Texas; two sisters, Frances and Anna Dubas of Fullerton; sister-in-law, Donna (Rolf) Dubas; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Monica “Minnie” Dubas; a sister, Valeria Dubas Wozny; brothers, Joseph, Virgil “Sam”, and Raymond Dubas; her infant twin brothers, Dominek and Alois; brother-in-law, Norbert Wozny; and sister-in-law, Florence (Prorek) Dubas; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Frank and Catherine (Malek) Voichahoske.
