Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Peter Catholic Church in Fullerton, with the Rev. Richard Whiteing celebrating the mass. Burial will be in the St. Peter Catholic Cemetery at Fullerton. Palmer Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Wozny was preceded in death by her husband, Norbert, and a son, Brian. Survivors of the immediate family include two sisters and a sister-in-law, Frances and Anna Dubas, and Marcyanna and Edward Voichahoske; a sister-in-law, Donna Dubas; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Roger and Mary of Omaha, Paul and Sherry of Schuyler, Mark, Berthoud of Colorado, and Tim and Sheryl of Lexington; a daughter and son-in-law, Rose and Jim Jarosz of Cedar Rapids; a daughter-in-law, Sandy Wozny of Vancouver, Wash.; and 13 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are many nephews, nieces and friends. Valeria was born May 26, 1920, in Palmer to Joseph and Monica (Czapla) Dubas. She graduated from Fullerton High School in 1939, and was united in marriage to Norbert F. Wozny on June 24, 1942. During their 57-year marriage, they enjoyed traveling to visit family, dancing, meeting with friends, neighbors and relatives. Valeria and Norbert farmed in Nance County near the Merchiston Ranch until they retired and moved to Fullerton in 1977. Valeria and Norbert were members in St. Peter Church, where she was active in St. Ann Altar Society Circle and served as President and Chairlady. She was a prayer chain participant. Active in the community, Valeria was chair of the local Red Cross Bloodmobile kitchen that provided sandwiches to donors for 24 years. As her service to Right to Life, Valeria hand crocheted over 125 baby blankets. Her hobbies included embroidery, sewing, baking, gardening, canning, bingo, playing cards and making keepsake afghans for parish bazaars, grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as handmade Christmas ornaments over the years for all family members. Valeria was also preceded in death by her father and mother, Joseph and Monica Dubas; brothers, Joseph Jr., Raymond and Virgil (Sam) Dubas; and grandson, Jerry Jarosz. Valeria was a compassionate, caring person and her life revolved around her faith, especially her devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, family, friends and the farm.
