She departed this life Sunday, January 13, 2019 in her home, surrounded by her family, at the age of 82 years. Margie was united in marriage to Harold Gustav Grosze on October 31, 1954 at Saint Anthony’s Church in Sterling, Colorado. To this union, four children were born- Gary, Theresa, William and Daniel. Margaret and her family moved from Sterling, Colorado in 1969 to Willow Springs, Missouri. They lived on a cattle farm for 14 years. Later, in 1972 the last child, Daniel was born. In 1982, they moved to Mountain View to “scale back and settle down”. She lived there until her passing. Her children would lovingly describe Margie as “a good mama”. All while taking care of her family, she was a farmer and a teacher. She enjoyed working in her yard, gardening and tending to the chickens. She put her cooking skills to the test, trying out recipes from Taste of Home magazine and loved watching Food Network. Later in life, she spent many moments solving word search puzzles. Above all else, she loved her grandchildren and spending time with each of them. Preceding her in death are her parents, Frank and Margaret; beloved husband of 54 years, Harold; brothers, Adam, John and Thomas Weingardt; sisters, Mary Hayek, Christina Morgan, and Cecilia Lazzarette; and her grandson, Isaac Grosze. She leaves behind to mourn her children, Gary and wife, Terri of Mountain View, Theresa of Mountain View, William and wife, Nancy of Columbia, Illinois, and Daniel of Mountain View; one sister, Dorothy Gertner and husband, Glenn of Sterling, Colorado; one brother, Larry Weingardt and wife, Lynn of Buffalo Grove, Illinois; beloved grandchildren, Travis Osley, Michele Grosze McQuisten, Lindsey Grosze Flori, Audrey Grosze Mesicek, Kristen Grosze, Hayleigh Grosze, Megan Smith, and Sydney Grosze; cherished great-grandchild, Gracie McQuisten. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in Yarber Chapel, Mountain View with Pastor Daniel Cargill officiating under the direction of Yarber Mortuary. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m. prior to services, also at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Teresita, Missouri.
