MARGARET WISE Mrs. Margaret Wise of Akron, who has been visiting in the home of her sister, Mrs. Emma Armstrong, suffered a heart attack Saturday morning about two o'clock and passed away Monday evening at eight forty-five. She was seventy-six years old at the time of her death. Since the death of her husband in 1932 Mrs. Wise has been a regular visitor in the home of her sister during the winter months and it was through the these regular stays that petite Mrs. Wise made a lsrge number of good friends in Lake View. Brief funeral services were held at two o'clock on Wednesday sfternoon in the Olerich funeral home and this Thursday morning the funeral cortege went to Akron where services will be held at two-thirty in the Methodist church. Dr. Wm Baddeley conducted the services in Lake View and the music was furnished by Mesdames J. Therkelsen and Floyd Parkinson who sang "Abide With Me" snd "There's A Land that Is Fairer Than Day." Bert Bradley, Max Pollock, Ross Root, Arden Pollock Blaine Root and Robert Murphy acted as pallbearers. In the service at Akron Reverend Lease, pastor of the Methodist church there conducted the services. All funeral arrangements both in Lake View and at Akron were under the direction of the Olerich Funeral Co. Msrgaret Estella Pollock, beloved daughter of Robert and Nancy Ann Pollock, was born September 15, 1865 at Mansfield, Richland County, Ohio and passed away after a brief illness at the home of Mrs. Emma Armstrong March 3, 1941 being 76 years 5 months and 16 days. At the age of four she came with her parents to Grundy County, Mo., where she remained for twelve years before moving to Sac County in 1881. Their stay here was short for in 1883 they went on farther west settling on a homestead in Plymouth County which has remained her home until the time of her death. On September 25, 1884 she was united in marriage to Charles Wise and to this union were born two sons, Vance Leland and Leo P. Her beloved husband and son preceded her in death. Charles, her husband left her on November 14, 1932 and her son Leo on September 23, 1933. Mrs. Wise was a staunch member of the Methodist church having been a member for over fifty years and an active worker in the organizations of the church. For many years she has been a member of the OES and White Shrine. Mrs. Wise enjoyed fairly good health until the last few months and last Saturday in the early hours of the morning she was taken seriously ill and on Monday evening, Mar. 3rd, she passed peacefully away. She leaves to mourn her passing her son Vance Leland of Hawarden, one sister, Mrs. Emma Amrstrong of Lake View; five granddaughters, Dorothy Mae, Mildred Lee, Marguerite, Betty Jean and Lillian Faye; three great grandsons and a host of friends.
