Miss Sterling was a native of the Asbury section here, the daughter of the late John and Sarah Davy Sterling. She was a direct descendant of the original pioneer settlers of Somerset County from the 17th century. Her father was the founder and first president of the Bank of Crisfield. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. from Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home. Rev. Walter L. Beckwith, pastor of Asbury Methodist Church officiated, and was assisted by Rev. Robert Darsch, pastor of the Pilgrim Holiness Church. Interment was in the family plot in Asbury Cemetery. Bearers were Wilbert J. Coulbourn, E. Lyle Quinn, A. Wellington Tawes, Sr., Lloyd J. Sterling, Warren F. Sterling and J. Coyne Sterling. She is survived by a sister, Miss Bessie F. Sterling, Crisfield, and several nephews and nieces.
