Sterling Claimed By Death Passed Away At His Home On Mariners Road On Wednesday Funeral Services To Be Held this Afternoon Robert H. Sterling passed away at his home on Mariners Road Wednesday afternoon shortly after 1:00 o'clock, at the age of 79 years. He was the son of the late Capt. John S. Sterling, who was President of the Bank of Crisfield for many years, and Sarah K. Sterling. For most of his life Mr. Sterling had been a boat builder and repairer, but for some years had retired from hat business and lived quietly at the home he had built just outside of Crisfield. Well known in the community and highly regarded by relatives and friends alike, news of his death came as a shock and was received with sincere sorrow. Funeral services will be held in Asbury Church, this, Friday afternoon, at 3:30 o'clock, conducted by his pastor, Rev. J. T. Rowlenson, assisted by Rev. Wm. Lowry, of the Pilgrim Holiness Church. Interment will be in Asbury cemetery. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Lilly G. Sterling, one daughter, Mrs. Lilly G. Nelson, of Baltimore, one brother, Frederick Sterling, and two sisters, Miss Bessie Sterling and Miss Louise Sterling, of Asbury. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Roberta Beryl Sterling, of Crisfield, and Eugene D. Nelson and Margaret L. Nelson of Baltimore.
