In the past it has been apparent that there was confusion regarding whether this person was the sister or spouse of Carl Herman Leininger (53078166). Further confusion may have arisen given that Carl is laid to rest in the same cemetery. However, this Marie C., particularly noting the presence of the middle initial is illustrated in the 1910 U.S. Federal Census with Carl and his siblings. There is presently no death location... In the past it has been apparent that there was confusion regarding whether this person was the sister or spouse of Carl Herman Leininger (53078166). Further confusion may have arisen given that Carl is laid to rest in the same cemetery. However, this Marie C., particularly noting the presence of the middle initial is illustrated in the 1910 U.S. Federal Census with Carl and his siblings. There is presently no death location noted herein because of various questionable last residences of record, such as in Washington, D.C., New York and/or New Jersey. Not sure which state actually holds the death certificate, and, her passing is too recent to legally acquire. The Clay County, Nebraska Clerk's office has a record book with Calvary Cemetery interments recorded, and they have one for this Marie, but it notes a maiden name (or another surname) of Blaney for her, and yet this cannot be accurate, as this Marie's brother Carl's obituary notes his wife, also Marie, as Marie Blaney (assume as maiden) Leininger (24 Jul 1898 - 09 Feb 1990). At some point after Carl's death, his widow moved to Torrance, Los Angeles County, California and was residing with her daughter, Roselene Mary (nee Leininger) Bobbitt. It is currently believed that Carl's widow Mary continued living in Torrance, Los Angeles County, California after her daughter Roselen passed away in 1969. As of this date, 03 Aug 2022, am presently waiting for confirmation of Roselene's burial location; her obituary says "Holy Cross," which is likely "Holy Cross Cemetery & Mortuary Culver City." Assistance with information about Roselee and possibly her mother, Marie (nee Blaney) Leininger being buried there is currently outstanding. At the date as well, an obituary for Marie C. Leininger (believed to have never married) and Marie (Blaney) Leininger has not been located.
