NOTE: Mary is entered in the actual cemetery transcript as Mary, though her headstone says Marie. Per Find A Grave contributor, Sharon Clayton Yates: "They (the children of Frank and Amelia) were placed in Beatrice State Home in Beatrice, Nebraska (after their mother's death). Four of the 5 children left the home later, but Mary never recovered from seeing her mother bleed to death. While Mary Clayton was in Beatrice Home, she ... had a child. The child was taken away from Mary and adopted out. We have no idea where the child went. Mary remained at the State home until her death. (She) is buried at Ridge Cemetery in Fremont. Born March 1894 Died July 25,1963 at the age of 69. I have her obituary." *******************************************
