In 1915, Annie and siblings Mary, Alfred, Elmer and Frank were residing in an orphanage in Lincoln County, South Dakota, having resided in South Dakota for the previous 4 years. I have been unable to locate the family in 1920, but in 1930, there is a Frank Clayton who is residing with his family in Fullerton, Nance, Nebraska. The ages of the children in the home coincide with father, Frank, remarrying, and his birth details are fairly consistent with Anna's father, Frank. This Frank appears to have passed away between 1930 and 1940 as his widowed wife, Ella, is residing in Fremont, Nebraska, in 1940. This Fremont connection appears to indicate further that the Frank married to Ella was Anna's father.
