Description	:	Mrs. Vencel Yuska died at her home in south Traer last Sunday evening after a prolonged illness. She began to fail in health nearly a year ago, but improved. In December she fell upon the ice and injured herself. From then on she failed gradually. The past three or four months she had been a victim of anemia, and under the care of a nurse. Read More	Mrs. Vencel Yuska died at her home in south Traer last Sunday evening after a prolonged illness. She began to fail in health nearly a year ago, but improved. In December she fell upon the ice and injured herself. From then on she failed gradually. The past three or four months she had been a victim of anemia, and under the care of a nurse. Mrs. Yuska was 68 years old. She was born at Sandwich, Ill. March 4, 1858, being a daughter of Anton and Katrin Novotny. In 1869 her parents located on a farm in Poweshiek county, Iowa, where the daughter Mary grew to womanhood. She was united in marriage in Belle Plaine in 1878 to Vencel Yuska. After her marriage she and her husband located on a farm in York township, Tama county. To this union six sons and four daughters were born. Two sons preceded her in death. In 1908 the family moved to a farm northeast of Traer, where they resided until nine years ago, when Mr. and Mrs. Yuska located in Traer. Mrs. Yuska became a member of the Catholic church in young womanhood and retained her faith until death. Those of her immediate family surviving are the husband and eight children, namely: Joe and Frank, Buckingham; James, Hudson; Edward, Traer; Mrs. Joe Kubik, Traer; Mrs. Geo. Ludvicek,Elberon; Miss Stella, Woodworth, Iowa; Mrs. Edward Ludvicek, Geneseo township. One brother and two sisters also survive., who are John Novotny and Mrs. Anton Roshek, of Victor, Iowa, and Mrs. Frank Votrobeck, of Fairfax, Iowa. The funeral was at the home at 9 a.m. Tuesday and at St. Vaclav church at 10, in charge of Rev. Thos. Vopatek, of Clutier. It was attended by a very large assemblage. Six nephews served as pallbearers. Those attending the funeral from a distance were Mrs. John Drabek and son Raymond, Mrs. Mae Fremer and son George, all of Chicago; the sister, Mrs. F. Votrobeck, Fairfax; John, Edward and Milver Erusha, nephews and their wives, Walford, Iowa; brother John Novotny, Mr. and Mrs. Roshek and son Anton and Frank Jaricek, Victor, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Veverka, Carnsforth, Iowa; Mr. and Mrs. John McIntire and Mrs. Henry Beeh, Belle Plaine.
