Caille, 89, a longtime Mansfield resident, passed away at Columbia Heights Assisted Living in Wenatchee on September 17, 2010. She was born in Mansfield, WA on April 15, 1921, to Eugene and Sylvania (Painter) Holcomb. S he was one of eight children. On October 19, 1937, she married Walter Caille in Tacoma. They resided in Mansfield, where they were lifetime wheat farmers and raised two sons, Grover and Scott. She later also raised a granddaughter, Cassandra. Marjorie enjoyed sewing and was an excellent cook. She was also involved in the Stonecroft Ministries for many years, taught a bible study class, was Chairman of the Quad City Christian Women's Club and was a member of the Rebekah's. Marjorie moved to a small home in Wenatchee in 1996, and in December of 2004, moved to Columbia Heights Assisted Living. She had many friends there and enjoyed working on jigsaw puzzles. She is survived by her son, Grover (Dorothy) Caille of Mansfield; one sister, Grace Erickson of McMinnville, OR; two grandsons, Tyler (Misty) Caille of Mansfield and Brandon Caille of Auburn; one granddaughter, Cassandra Caille of Wenatchee; one great-granddaughter, Kylie; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; son, Scott; and several brothers and sisters. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, September 29, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at the Mansfield United Protestant Church, with Pastor Ric Bayless officiating. A light Reception will follow in the church basement. If desired, memorials may be made to the Mansfield Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 326, Mansfield, WA 98830. Arrangements are assisted by Telford's Chapel of the Valley, East Wenatchee.
