She passed away about 6:15 a.m. at the Briggs Nursing home where she was a patient. She had been in failing health the past several years and seriously ill the past eight weeks. Her home is at 406 W. Broadway. Short services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Hoskins funeral home, after which the body will be taken to the Friends church in Pleasant Plain where services will be held at 2:30 p.m. The services will be in charge of the Rev. Lawrence Sams and burial will be in the Friends cemetery at Pleasant Plain. Martha Ann Macy was born July 1, 1863, in Penn township, the daughter of the late Noble and Rebecca O'Donnell Frederick. She was united in marriage on April 18, 1883, to Allen Macy who preceded his wife in death on Feb. 28, 1940. Mrs. Macy spent almost her entire life in Jefferson county, the past 15 years in Fairfield. She was a member of the Friends church. She is survived by the following childdren: Otto S. Macy, Wynewood, Okla; Mrs. Estella Madge and Mrs. Irena Duttweiler, both of Atchison, Kan.; Mrs. Frank Hoskins and Mrs. Elbert Elmore, both of Fairfield. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and a brother, A. C. Frederick, Fairfield.
