When 12 years of age she came with her parents to Kansas, and settled on the homestead southwest of Glasco. Here she grew to womanhood. On February 24, 1892, she was united in marriage to Ecles L. Clark. To this union were born 8 children, Mary having preceded her mother in death. Besides her husband, she leaves to mourn her loss, the following children: William R., Muncie, Kansas; Joseph H., Minneapolis, Kansas; Thomas F., Port Angeles, Washington; Agnes Prochaska, Simpson; Gertrude Johnson, Wynnewood, Oklahoma; Margaret Firelli, Brooklyn, New York; Julia F., Kansas City. Twenty-eight grandchildren; three having preceded her in death, and the following sisters: Catharine and Sadie Butler of Glasco; Ella Downey, Glasco; Elizabeth Pilcher, Delphos; and a host of relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Saturday morning at 9:30 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic church with Rev. Edmund M. Arpin, officiating. Acting as pallbearers were James and Harold Clark of Muncie, Kansas; Fred Noe of Kansas City, Kansas; Harold Prochaska of Simpson; Paul Clark of Minneapolis; and Duane Peterson of the home. The five grandsons serving the funeral mass were Joe and Eugene Clark of Muncie, Kan., Max and Neal Prochaska of Simpson, and Louis Clark of the home. Interment was made in the Glasco Catholic cemetery.
