Description	:	Mary Ann Kelley Steel was the daughter of William W. Kelley and Letitia/Luticia Kell Kelley of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Kelley came to Iowa with her daughter, Letitia/Luticia Bowers Moulton and appears in the 1850 census with her in Dubuque. After that she was living with Mary Steel and passed away in 1859 and is also buried in the Giard Cemetery we believe, but does not have a marker. Three of Mary's Siblings, William W. Kelley, Jr., James B. Kelley and Letitia/Luticia Bowers Moulton also moved to Iowa from Pennsylvania. After one year in Dubuque, James B.... Read More	Mary Ann Kelley Steel was the daughter of William W. Kelley and Letitia/Luticia Kell Kelley of Huntingdon County, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Kelley came to Iowa with her daughter, Letitia/Luticia Bowers Moulton and appears in the 1850 census with her in Dubuque. After that she was living with Mary Steel and passed away in 1859 and is also buried in the Giard Cemetery we believe, but does not have a marker. Three of Mary's Siblings, William W. Kelley, Jr., James B. Kelley and Letitia/Luticia Bowers Moulton also moved to Iowa from Pennsylvania. After one year in Dubuque, James B. Kelley moved to Nauvoo, Illinois. One other brother, Absalom Kelley is in the 1840 census in Huntingdon County and mentioned in the will of William W. Kelley, who died in 1844, but after that time, his where-abouts are unknown. William W. Kelley Jr. died from cholera , April 23, 1849 in Davenport, Iowa. He is probably buried in a Potter's Field in Davenport. James B. Kelley, wife Rebecca, are in the 1880 census in Nauvoo, Illinois. Rebecca is listed as the benefit recipient in 1884 on the Civil War Pension Index of their son William C. Kelley who died in 1862 in Tennessee. James died October 10, 1885 in Appanoose, Illinois and is buried in Tull Cemetery, along with his son George Washington Kelley. Rebecca moved to Osceola, Nebraska in August, 1888 to live with their son Isaiah Frank Kelley. We do not have a death date for her. Letitia Bowers Moulton died May 6, 1888 in Cresco, Iowa, burial place unknown. Her 2nd husband B.F. Moulton is buried in the New Oregon Cemetery in Cresco. The sexton there has no record of her burial, but there is green space near his marker. Burial location of her 1st husband, Edward Cole Bowers, who died in 1855 in Dubuque is unknown. OZARKCHERYL Mary Steel, mother of Mrs. D. F. Bickel, of Giard, died at the residence of the latter, on the 18th last, at the advanced age of 78 years. Elkader Weekly Register: May 30, 1889 Page 5
