Description	:	Married 1877 NE ----------------------------------------------- Mrs. David Kay Buried Monday Afternoon Mary Caroline Williams, daughter of Thomas Davis Williams and Elizabeth Ainsworth Williams, was born August 28, 1858 in Cedar county, Missouri and departed this life Nov. 4, 1938 at Loup City, Nebraska, being 80 years, 2 months and 7 days of age. Because of the destruction of their property during the Civil war she moved with her family to Nemaha county, Nebraska, in 1863 where she grew to womanhood. Read More	Married 1877 NE ----------------------------------------------- Mrs. David Kay Buried Monday Afternoon Mary Caroline Williams, daughter of Thomas Davis Williams and Elizabeth Ainsworth Williams, was born August 28, 1858 in Cedar county, Missouri and departed this life Nov. 4, 1938 at Loup City, Nebraska, being 80 years, 2 months and 7 days of age. Because of the destruction of their property during the Civil war she moved with her family to Nemaha county, Nebraska, in 1863 where she grew to womanhood. On December 15, 1877 she was united in marriage to David Kay. Seven children were born to this union, Mrs. Grace Wilson and Kenneth Kay of Hastings, Mrs. Elizabeth Tracy, William and James and Carrie Scharnow of Loup City and Albert of Palm Springs, California. She with her family moved to Sherman county in 1881 and settled on a farm 8 miles northwest of Loup City where she resided until 1925 when she moved to Loup City. She was preceded in death by her husband July 9, 1915. Besides her children, she leaves to mourn her passing one sister, Mrs. Emma Johnson of Council Bluffs, Iowa, two brothers, A. P. Williams of Omaha and F. C. Williams of Ord, six grandchildren, two great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. She united with the United Brethern [sic] church at the age of 15 and in 1916 became a member of the Presbyterian church of Loup City, where she retained her membership, although because of ill health she was not an active member. Funeral services were held on Monday in charge of Rev. Harwood and burial was made in the Evergreen cemetery. The Sherman County Times - Nov 10 1938
