Description	:	Mary Jean Pug Zeit, 80, of Atchison, passed away Oct. 10, 2018, with her family at her side. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at St. Louis Church at Good Intent, with Rev. Benjamin Tremmel, OSB as celebrant. Condolences and memories may be shared at www.arensbergpruett.com. Mary Jean was born Sept. 11, 1938, in Atchison, the daughter of Leo and Marie (Kane) McCoy. She attended District #74 School, south of Atchison, and graduated from Mount St. Scholastica Academy in 1956. She and Gerald Jerry R. Zeit were united in Holy Matrimony on Oct. 16, 1956, at St. Benedicts Church. Mr. Zeit preceded her in death on May 17, 1998. Mary Jean was employed with the former LFM Manufacturing from 1956 to 1962, until becoming a homemaker and stay at home mom. She was a member of St. Louis Church in the Good Intent Community and belonged to the church Altar Society; she helped at the church picnics for many years. Pug loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren. Survivors include: a daughter; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband; a brother, Eugene McCoy; and a sister, Helen Vandiver. As published in the Atchison Globe, October 18, 2018
