Description	:	Mrs. Cyril Sicard passed away at her home east of town Saturday night [May 2, 1914] after a short illness. Miss Mary Manard [Menard] was born at Saint Mary’s, Canada, August 23, 1859. She was united in marriage to Cyril Sicard November 22, 1877, and thirteen years later the family moved to Fall river, Mass., where they lived about ten years, then moving to South Dakota onto a farm east of Volin where she lived to the time of her death. Read More	Mrs. Cyril Sicard passed away at her home east of town Saturday night [May 2, 1914] after a short illness. Miss Mary Manard [Menard] was born at Saint Mary’s, Canada, August 23, 1859. She was united in marriage to Cyril Sicard November 22, 1877, and thirteen years later the family moved to Fall river, Mass., where they lived about ten years, then moving to South Dakota onto a farm east of Volin where she lived to the time of her death. Mrs. Sicard’s health has not been of the best the past few months but she was not taken seriously ill until about two weeks ago. She failed rapidly after this last attack of sickness and death came Saturday night. A husband, three sons, Peter, Omar and Felix, and four daughters, Mrs. John Tuttle, Mrs. Edward Potter, Viola and Minnie, also a sister, Mrs. E. S. Volin, mourn her death. Mrs. Sicard had a large number of friends in this vicinity and was held in high esteem by all who knew her. Funeral services were held at the house at 1:30 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Father Link, of Yankton officiating, and burial was made in the Volin cemetery.
