P. Augustine, 7 South Second street, at 1:20 this morning. Mrs. Augustine's death was due to her advanced years, which had induced heart trouble and dropsy. She was 90 years and 9 months old. Mrs. Augustine was a native of Somerset County, Pennsylvania, and was born March 5, 1815. Her maiden name was Wass. At the age of 18 she was married at Petersburg, Pa., to Peter Augustine who died Aug. 7, 1867. Mr and Mrs. Augustine came west in an early day, settling in this county in 1865. With the exception of eight or nine years, which were spent in Grundy county, Mrs. Augustine had lived in this county. For twelve years she was a resident of Albion, before coming to this city. Mr. Augustine had led an exemplary Christian life, having united with the Lutheran church when 18 years old. For the past fifteen years she had been a member of the Presbyterian church. Her church membership had extended over a period of about seventy-five years. Mrs. Augustine is survived by six children, three sons and three daughters. They are John Augustine, of Albion; A. P. Augustine, Mrs. Mary Stine, and Mrs. Mattie Gillespie of this city; Mrs. Elizabeth Troutman of Denver, and Peter Augustine of York county, Nebraska. Until the death of Mrs. Augustine a remarkable condition existed in here family, in that there were five living generation. Her one great great grandchild is now 6 years of age. The funeral will be held from the P. A. Augustine home Sunday afternoon at 1:30, and interment will be in the Albion Cemetery.
