Description	:	Marylu Scholl, 90, of Donna, Texas, formerly of Cherokee, Iowa, passed away Monday, May 18, 2009. Services were held at First Baptist Church in Donna, Texas. Her final resting place will be in Afton Township Cemetery, rural Cherokee. Marylu was born Jan. 24, 1919, in Afton Township, to Lealand D. and Margretta J. (Doupe) Loucks. She graduated from Cherokee Wilson High School in 1937. She was married to Robert R. "Bus" Smith in 1938. They had three children, Roger, Marjorie and Jane. She married John R. Anderson in 1947. Marylu was born Jan. 24, 1919, in Afton Township, to Lealand D. and Margretta J. (Doupe) Loucks. She graduated from Cherokee Wilson High School in 1937. She was married to Robert R. "Bus" Smith in 1938. They had three children, Roger, Marjorie and Jane. She married John R. Anderson in 1947. They had three children, Lealand, John and Lorie. She married Harvey Scholl in 1988. She retired to Donna, Texas, and was a resident of Magnolia Park for 30 years. Prior to this, she had lived in Storm Lake, Iowa, Sioux City and was originally from Cherokee. In her 90 years, she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, crafts and reading. Crafts brought her the most joy, because she was able to give away her creations to others. She was a loving wife and mother to six children and a grandmother to 17 grandchildren. She was also blessed with many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by her six children, Roger W. (Jan) Smith of Laguna Vista, Texas, Marjorie J. (Don) Soole of Donna, Jane E. (Don) Mittlestadt of Milford, Iowa, Lealand G. (Sue) Anderson of Dallas Center, Iowa, John R. (Kaye) Anderson of Boone, Iowa, and Lorie L. Allen of DeKalb, Texas; 17 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; three husbands; two brothers, Robert and Joe Loucks; and a sister, Evelyn Anderson.
