Description	:	DETWEILER.-On the 7th of November, 1889, near Amish, Johnson Co., Iowa, of consumption, Menno M. Detweiler, aged 30 years and 26 days. He was a faithful member of the Amish Mennonite church. He leaves a deeply bereaved wife and two small children to mourn the loss of a loving father and affectionate husband. But we need not mourn as those who have no hope. The writer frequently visited him during his sickness and we have reason to believe that he patiently looked forward with a living hope of a blessed immortality. After which he calmly fell asleep The funeral took place at the residence on the 9th, where many sympathizing friends were present from near and far. Services conducted by N. D. Yoder and J. F. Swartzendruber from St. John 5:19, 30, after which his remains were conveyed to his last resting place in the Deer Creek cemetery.
