Read More	Death of Prominent Young Man The sudden death last Sunday morning of Morton Gustafson caused universal sadness and consternation in Stratford and community when it became known. Deceased had been ill with tonsillitis which developed into quinsy but his condition was not considered serious. On Sunday morning, however, he became much worse and before a physician could get to his country home he had passed away. Morton was a very popular young man in this community. He was a good natured and clean cut fellow whom it was a decided pleasure to know and he had a heart of gold. His friends and friendships were sacred to him. To the broken hearted wife and sons, father and mother, brothers and sisters, who sit in sorrow where his footsteps shall never again echo, we extend the sympathy of his many friends. When they have drained the cup may the peace that passeth all understanding come to them from One who cares for each little sparrow that falls. Morton Gustafson was born July 19, 1891 and died Wednesday, December 30, 1917, on the same farm on which he first saw the light of day 26 years, 5 months and 11 days ago. He was one of the six living children of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Gustafson, who reside east of Stratford, being next to the youngest in age. In October 1914, he was united in marriage to Miss Marie McCafrey. Two sons have been born to bless the union and they, together with a loving wife, a fond father and mother, two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Erickson and Mrs. John Erickson of southeast of Stratford, and three brothers, Henry, Charley E. and Rudolph, all of Stratford, are left to mourn the death of a loving father, husband and son and brother. The funeral services over the remains were held from the family home yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock in charge of Rev. H.I. Pharo and the remains interred in the South Marion Cemetery.
