Description	:	CLAY CENTER-- Genevieve Lindberg, 87, died Sunday, May 26, 2013 at Memorial Hospital, Abilene. Mrs. Lindberg was born Dec. 7, 1925 in Clay County, the daughter of Dean and Martha (Chestnut) James. Genevieve was a farm wife in Elkhart, Kan. for 25 years then moved to Fremont, Calif. where she became a nurse's aide for 20 years. After her retirement in 2005 she returned to Clay Center where she resided in the Presbyterian Manor until her death. She married Clifton LeRoy Taylor in 1942 and they later divorced. Mrs. Lindberg was born Dec. 7, 1925 in Clay County, the daughter of Dean and Martha (Chestnut) James. Genevieve was a farm wife in Elkhart, Kan. for 25 years then moved to Fremont, Calif. where she became a nurse's aide for 20 years. After her retirement in 2005 she returned to Clay Center where she resided in the Presbyterian Manor until her death. She married Clifton LeRoy Taylor in 1942 and they later divorced. She then married Glenn F. Lindberg in Fremont, Calif. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents, brother Ralph, sister Bertha Dodds, granddaughter Amber Lynette (Harris) Seymore, sisters-in-law Betty James and Olivia James, brothers-in-law Howard Mailen, Clem Wiechman, Gene Dodds and Lloyd Olson. Amber preceded in death her beloved Grandmother by 5 months and will be there to greet "Grammy Bear". Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Jean Spurlock and husband Cecil of Clovis, Calif., Carol Joy Lavielle and husband Gene of Pittsburg, Calif. and Brenda Kay Seaborn and husband John of Longmont, Colo.; five brothers, Russell James of Clay Center, Milo James and wife Florene of Clay Center, Leo James and wife Audrey of Clay Center, Wayne James and wife Mary of Atlanta, Ga. and Arlo James and wife Patti of Denver, Colo.; three sisters, Vesta Lyne and husband Francis of Clay Center, Velda Mailen-Wiechman of Denver, Colo. and Alta Olson of Morganville; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Family visitation will be Saturday, June 15 from 10 to 11 a.m. at the Neill-Schwensen-Rook Chapel, Clay Center. Inurnment will be at Wesleyan Cemetery, Clay County. Memorials may be made to Clay Center Presbyterian Manor in care of the funeral home, 918 7th St., Clay Center, KS 67432. Online condolences may be made at www.nsrfh.com.
