Description	:	Lois Mae (Snow) Potter Baker, 80, quietly and peacefully entered eternity on September 4, 2008 while residing in Sharon Care Center in Centralia. She was born on December 29, 1927 in Langley, AR. Lois was the youngest of ten children born to Oliver and Aurora (White) Snow. Lois' mother died when she was three years old, and was raised mostly by her oldest sister Pearl and brother-in-law James W. Ross. Read More	Lois Mae (Snow) Potter Baker, 80, quietly and peacefully entered eternity on September 4, 2008 while residing in Sharon Care Center in Centralia. She was born on December 29, 1927 in Langley, AR. Lois was the youngest of ten children born to Oliver and Aurora (White) Snow. Lois' mother died when she was three years old, and was raised mostly by her oldest sister Pearl and brother-in-law James W. Ross. Lois moved to Washington in 1937, with Pearl and James where she lived most of her life. They were like parents to her, and Pearl died in 1994, James in 2007. She was always known to be a hard worker. She was willing to help out those in need, and was constantly helping out elderly friends and neighbors. Lois was a private person, but led an interesting life. She made many sacrifices to raise her children, mostly by herself. In 1977, she married Harry T. Baker. He worked in several lumber mills which took them to different locations in Washington and Oregon. They were married for twenty-two years before his death in 1999. Lois moved back to Centralia where she lived until her death. Lois was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters, and two brothers. She is survived by one brother, Edgar Snow of Nashville, AR and her three children, Loretta (Wayne) Gilchrist of Little Rock, AR, Herb (Denise) Potter of Centralia, and Ladonna Cooper of Langley, British Columbia. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held at Mountain View Cemetery, Centralia, WA at 11:00 am, Saturday, September 13, 2008. The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Sharon Care Center, where Lois spent the last month of her life and those at Providence Centralia Hospital who cared for her in recent months.
