Description	:	Myron Naber Myron A. Naber, 87, of Scribner died Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2006, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont. He was born June 15, 1919, in Scribner to Fred and Johanna (Rastede) Naber Sr. He was raised on a farm west of Uehling. He attended school in the Uehling area and graduated from Uehling High School in 1937. After high school he continued to farm. He married Minerva Porter on Feb. 16, 1944. He was born June 15, 1919, in Scribner to Fred and Johanna (Rastede) Naber Sr. He was raised on a farm west of Uehling. He attended school in the Uehling area and graduated from Uehling High School in 1937. After high school he continued to farm. He married Minerva Porter on Feb. 16, 1944. The couple farmed together and eventually added livestock. They moved into Scribner in 1979. He continued to farm until semi-retiring in 1989. He was a lifetime member of the Farm Bureau, Dodge County Cattlemen's Association, Nebraska Cattlemen's Association and St. Paul's Lutheran Church north of Hooper. He served on the taxation board of the Nebraska Cattlemen's Association, the board of the Dodge County Cattlemen's Association and the Farm Bureau Board. He also was on the advisory board of the UNL Haskell Lab, the District 35 School Board and St. Paul's Church Council. Survivors include: his wife; a daughter, Cheryl (and husband, Chuck) Wilhelm of Omaha; a son, Gregory (and wife, Teresa) Naber of Scribner; two brothers, Lawrence (and wife, Bernice) Naber of Arizona and Fred Naber Jr. of Scribner; a sister, Elaine (and husband, Vern) Riensche of Lincoln; a sister-in-law, Arla Naber of Albion; and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by a son and a brother. The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, north of Hooper, with Vicar Judy Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday at Scribner Funeral Chapel with family receiving friends from 4-6 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
