He had been in failing health for five weeks. Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 4, at 10:30 a.m. at the Christian Church in Stanhope, with Rev. Richard Morris officiating. Myron Willard Anderson, son of Wallace and Clara Carlson Anderson, was born August 5, 1904, on a farm south of Stratford. He attended rural schools in the Stratford area, and also attended Iowa State College. He married Velma Dick on Jan. 21, 1933, in Stanhope. The couple farmed northwest of Stanhope, retiring in 1971. They moved to Stanhope in 1973. He is survived by his wife, Velma, of Stanhope; daughter, Chloris Robinson, Belmond; two grandsons, Dan Robinson, Belmond, Rick Rombinson, Cedar Falls; one sister and three brothers, Mildred (Mrs. Floyd) Erickson, Stratford; Stanley Anderson, Lee's Summit, Mo.; Melvin Anderson, Otho; Herschel Anderson, Ames. Mr. Anderson was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister. He was a member of the Christian Church of Stanhope, was a former Stanhope Lions member, and was a member of the Senior Citizens of Stanhope. Prior to his illness, he was active in various community affairs and organizations.
