Trosclair, officiated. Committal service follow in the Union Hill Cemetery of Glenmora. Myrtle, 99, of Glenmora, passed away in her own bed at home after nearly a century of taking care of other people on November 12, 2013. She was born on December 2, 1913 in Union Hill to the union of Richard Fee and Elizabeth Boone Fee. She was the eldest of 15 children: Willie Fee, Willard Fee, Hattie Odom, Irene Harper, Ethel Abel, Ruby McDaniel, Leon Fee, Walter Fee (all deceased), and Lovie Johnson, Dovie Willis, Malcolm Fee, Henry Fee, Doris Fee and Lucy Edwards. She had six children, Simon Edwards, Jr., Sonny Edwards and Dorothy Edwards. Her surviving children are two daughter and her son-in-law, son and daughter-in-law of Glenmora. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law of Glenmora. Fourteen grandchildren. She was adored by 18 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was a woman of simple tastes who never found it necessary to look very far from home for fulfillment and happiness. In fact, she never even learned to drive a car. If you ever took her off anywhere, you will remember that she wouldn't stay gone very long and certainly not overnight, because she had to get back to feed her chickens. Her home was the spiritual center for so many family and friends; people coming and going all day long. She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers. She loved her Levy Garrett Snuff. She loved her little dog Suzie who she took great pleasure in feeding from the table. She enjoyed country and gospel music. Her fried chicken, banana pudding and biscuits were matched by none. Services were under the guidance of White Oaks Funeral Home, Oakdale.
