Daily Ledger Saturday May 12, 1945 Pg. 5 Col. 8 JANE RAMBO, 87, RITES TUESDAY Mrs. Jane Rambo, 87, passed away yesterday afternoon at 3:45 p.m. at the Jefferson county home (sic. hospital) where she had been taken two weeks ago after suffering a broken hip in a fall. Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. at the Hoskins Funeral Home with Rev. A. P. Keast in charge. Interment in Evergreen cemetery. She was born in Missouri on July 5, 1858. Survivors are two daughters: Mrs. Julia Daniel, Fontata, Calif., and Mrs. Harrison Bailey of Eagle Butte, South Dakota; two step sons: Alva Rambo of Seymour, Mo.; and John of Polk City, Iowa; four sisters Mrs. Joe Mullenix of Free Soil, Michigan; Mrs. Iva Gaeth, Rhoda Williamson and Mrs. Etta Sterling all of Edgerton, Mo.; two granddaughters: Mrs. Leona Rusk of Fairfield and Mrs. Hazel Banjay of Ottumwa; and four nephews residing in Fairfield: Harry, George and Ernest Adkins and Carl Jennings. She was preceded in death by a brother, Henry Adkins, in 1928.
