Description	:	Naomi Ruth Bonorden, 79, of Cedar Falls, Iowa, died on Friday, April 22, 2011 at Allen Memorial Hospital, Waterloo. Naomi was born November 16, 1931, in Bennington Township, Black Hawk County, the daughter of Theodore and Martha (Schutte) Diercks. She was baptized November 29, 1931, at her parents home and was confirmed March 25, 1945, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Readlyn. She attended Readlyn High School, graduating in 1949. Naomi was born November 16, 1931, in Bennington Township, Black Hawk County, the daughter of Theodore and Martha (Schutte) Diercks. She was baptized November 29, 1931, at her parents home and was confirmed March 25, 1945, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Readlyn. She attended Readlyn High School, graduating in 1949. On May 11, 1952, she was united in marriage to Virgil O. Bonorden at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Readlyn. She worked at Carnation (Nestle) in Waverly for seven years. Later in life she attended nursing school and worked as a nurse. Virgil passed away February 25, 1996. Naomi enjoyed family get togethers where she was able to cook for the entire family. Her first priority was to make sure everyone else was cared for before herself. Her hobbies included anything to do with crafts, especially sewing. She was a very spiritual women and reading the Bible was an important part of Naomi's life. Perhaps her greatest joy was watching her grandchildren grow and play sports. Naomi is survived by three sons; Brian (Linda) Bonorden of Rutherford College, North Carolina, Kevin (Cindy) Bonorden of Grundy Center, Monte (Cindy) Bonorden of Waterloo, one daughter; Kerri (Tony) Gamerdinger of Dunkerton, 10 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, two brothers; Lorraine Diercks of Janesville and Burton (Sharon) Diercks of Denver, two sisters; Lois Golz of Lombard, Illinois and Janice (Cliff) Israel of Waterloo, brother in law; Lee Bonorden of Austin, Minnesota, sister in law; Jan Hughes of Waverly. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Virgil, brothers; Lavern "Hank" Diercks, Jeroyd Diercks in infancy, and Eldon Diercks. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Denver. Burial will be held in Fairview Cemetery in Denver. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home in Denver.
