Read More	Midland Times: November 5, 1 992, page 9 Nora E. Thomson Nora E. Thomsen, age 91, of Wyoming, Iowa died Friday, Oct. 30, 1992 at Jackson County Public Hospital in Maquoketa. She was born near Wyoming on Sept. 6, 1901, the daughter of Frederick and Anna Lucksted Storm and began her education in country schools. Later Nora lived with friends in Wyoming so she could attend and graduate from high school in 1919. She then attended Cedar Falls Teachers College and taught for her sister for a short period of time. On Sept. 6, 1922 she married August Thomsen at Wyoming. The couple farmed just west of Wyoming until retiring to town in 1972. August died in 1978. Nora was a member of the First Presbyterian Church where she had served as superintendent of the Sunday School for several years when she was a young woman, the Wyoming American Legion Auxiliary Unit #259, the Hawthorne Club in which she had held local and state offices, and several local bridge clubs. She is survived by two daughters, June Thomsen Jetter of Kansas City, Missouri and JoAnne (Mrs. George) Rusk of Piano, Texas; five grandchildren, John Jetter of Longview, Texas; James Jetter of Iowa City; Anne Mass of Dallas, Texas; Karen Rusk Mills of Richardson, Texas; and Wayne Rusk of Dallas; Texas; and six great grandchildren, Jonathan and Paul Jetter of Longview, Texas; Amy and Eric Jetter of Iowa City; Whitney Knopf of Kansas City, Missouri and Lisa Mills of Richardson, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and one sister. Funeral services were Tuesday, Nov. 3, 1992 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hayden Funeral Home in Wyoming with burial in Wyoming Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Gates officiated. Friends called at the funeral home Monday from 3-8 p.m. Casketbearers were Anthony Yanda, Albert Storm, Ivan Eden, Allen Eden, Alvin Tredway and Curt McKinstry.
