She was one of Glasco's pioneers, having come to Glasco with her husband, Lewis C. Burnett, in 1885. She was an ideal citizen, being always deeply interested in the religious, civil and social life of the town from the time it was a village with a very few houses up to the present. Burnett passed away at her home in this city last Friday after an illness of several months' duration. She was one of Glasco's pioneers, having come to Glasco with her husband, Lewis C. Burnett, in 1885. She was an ideal citizen, being always deeply interested in the religious, civil and social life of the town from the time it was a village with a very few houses up to the present. She was a loving and faithful mother to her nine children and took much interest in their welfare to the end that they might become honest and upright citizens. How well she succeeded everyone knows, as her five surviving children are a credit to any community. Mrs. Burnett joined the Free Will Baptist church in early life, and when she moved to Glasco she united with the Christian church and has been a most faithful Christian all her life. Mrs. Burnett was born in St. Lawrence county, New York, July 2, 1852, being 67 years, 10 months and 18 days old at the time of her death. She is survived by her husband and five children --- Miss Lillian Burnett, Mrs. Ruth Driscoll, and Misses Myrtle and Mildred Burnett, all of Glasco, and a son, Carl, of Florida; an adopted daughter, Doris Burnett, and four step-children, Mrs. Inez Wright of California, Edgar Burnett of Canada, M.O. Burnett and Mrs. Hattie Craig of Oklahoma. Thirty-one grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
