Description	:	On 17 May 1922, Olive (Ollie) May Reed and her sister, Anna (Annie) Kathlene Reed, were married in a double ceremony. Olive married Wesley James Braden and Annie married Charlie Laurence Vinzant. Wesley and Charlie were good friends. They were married in the home of the girls' parents, Stephen and Stella Reed, in their living room. In about May of 1923, the two couples moved to Detroit, Michigan, where wages were far higher than most places and they felt their fortunes could be made. Olive married Wesley James Braden and Annie married Charlie Laurence Vinzant. Wesley and Charlie were good friends. They were married in the home of the girls' parents, Stephen and Stella Reed, in their living room. Initially, the two men worked for Goodyear Rubber making automobile tires. Shortly, Charlie began working for Chevrolet and then Chrysler. Annie died in Detroit in 1925 following infection after the February 24, 1925, birth of their daughter, Donalie Jean. At that time, Charlie returned to Clay county, Kansas, and it is probable that Wesley and Ollie did also, since they are in Republican Township, Clay Co., Kansas, for the 1930 census where he is a farmer. In the 1940 census, Wesley and his family are listed immediately before Olive's widowed mother, Stella Reed and her brother, James Drury, age 71.
