She was the youngest of their four daughters. She grew up in Missouri until the early 1940’s. She moved with her parents to California for a period of time. Read More	Obituary for Oriolee June Monroe Bridgeport, Wash. died Nov. 2, 2016. She was born Feb. 25, 1922 in Eagleville, Missouri to Ralph and Dora Conley Dorrel. She was the youngest of their four daughters. She grew up in Missouri until the early 1940’s. She moved with her parents to California for a period of time. At the encouragement of her dad’s sister, Alice Green, they moved to Washington State, settling in Bridgeport. She worked for Douglas County P.U.D. Through her friend, Roberta Monroe, she met Dean Monroe and they got married on Valentine’s Day in 1947. Dean took over his dad’s orchard business in Bridgeport and it is where they raised their three daughters Kathy, Laura Lee, and Peggy. At retirement, they traveled round the different states and wintered in Arizona. June enjoyed doing crafts with friends. She was active in Junior Women’s Club, Club 40, and was a Camp Fire Girls leader. She loved her family and tolerated their many animals. She was thrilled that the latest great-granddaughter was named after her. She is survived by her three daughters and sons-in-law; Kathy and Frank Kennedy, Laura Lee Monroe-Jorgensen, and Peggy and Fred Mau. Her grandkids: Melissa Kennedy, Marc and Kira Kennedy, Carla and Jonathan James, A.J. Jorgensen, and Shawni Smith. Her great-grandchildren: Hannah, Ezra, Bella, Isaac, Henry, Eva, and Isla June; her niece, LaVaughn Bond, and many nieces and nephews. She’s preceded in death by her husband Dean; grandson Matthew, her parents, her sisters, and her two closest nephews Stan and Roger Long. The family wants to thank Home Health Care/Hospice of Omak for their wonderful care. Justin, Anita, Jeanne, Patty, Jennifer, Paulla, Karen, and Ed. Many thanks to Dr. Anne Dubosky. Services will be at the Bridgeport Cemetery on Nov. 16 at 10 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life at the Bridgeport Eagles.
