McNamara, age 77 years, died this morning at the home of his brother, Archie McNamara, 1044 Mound street, after a long illness of old age and senile debility. He was a native of Ireland, but came to America at the age of nine years. He served during the civil war for nearly four years, and was captain of Company K, Thirteenth Kansas volunteer infantry. McNamara, age 77 years, died this morning at the home of his brother, Archie McNamara, 1044 Mound street, after a long illness of old age and senile debility. He was a native of Ireland, but came to America at the age of nine years. He served during the civil war for nearly four years, and was captain of Company K, Thirteenth Kansas volunteer infantry. The deceased was a mason, being a member of Washington lodge. He was also a member of A. S. Everett post, of the G. A. R. Four sons and three daughters survive him. The funeral will be announced later. Atchison Daily Globe, Wednesday, 13 May 1903 The funeral of Captain McNamara will occur from his brother's residence, 1044 Mound street, at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning. The Rev. W. R. Cross will conduct the services at the house and the G. A. R. the services at Oak Hill cemetery, where the burial will take place. All members of A. S. Everest post are requested to meet at our hall at eight o'clock this evening, to make arrangements for funeral of our late comrade, Captain McNamara.
