Pearl Vivian Tvedt Frantzick was born on December 16, 1919 at Alamo, North Dakota to Nels and Alma Tvedt. Pearl was baptized and confirmed at the Hauge Lutheran Church. Read More	Pearl Vivian Tvedt Frantzick, 99, of Gillette, Wyoming, formerly of Poplar, Montana, passed away at the Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette on Saturday, January 5, 2019. Pearl Vivian Tvedt Frantzick was born on December 16, 1919 at Alamo, North Dakota to Nels and Alma Tvedt. Pearl was baptized and confirmed at the Hauge Lutheran Church. After graduating from Alamo High School as valedictorian of the class of 1937, she passed a teaching exam and began teaching in the rural Williams County schools at the age of 17. Pearl met the love of her life, Lester Frantzick, while roller skating. They were married on November 2, 1940 in Plentywood, Montana and made their home in the Wildrose area where they raised their three children, Lanny, Faye and Leon. Pearl and Lester were engaged in farming, owned and operated Frantzick Construction and Frantzick’s Market. In 1962 they moved to Parshall, North Dakota and in 1963 to Poplar, Montana. While in Poplar, Pearl worked as a nurse’s aide and bookkeeper at the Poplar Community Hospital. In 1978 they opened Sunrise Lumber and Hardware where she continued to work as the bookkeeper until she was 92 years young. Pearl moved to Gillette, Wyoming in the fall of 2012 to be closer to her daughter and her family. For the past two years she has resided at the Legacy Living and Rehabilitation Center in Gillette. Pearl enjoyed sewing, embroidering, crocheting, gardening, canning, and reading. She loved to bake and always had cookies in the cookie jar, fresh buns and bread, and a home cooked meal for her family. She was well known for her krumkake, lefse, caramel rolls and pumpkin pie. She is survived by her daughter, Faye (Robert) Coleman of Gillette, WY; her son, Leon (Sue) Frantzick of Box Elder, SD; four grandchildren: Shannon (Dirk) Peterson of Cushing, OK; Traci (Gary) Sadler of Poplar, MT; Julie (Jeb) Tachick of Gillette, WY; Michael (Stephanie) Coleman of Edmond, OK; seven great-grandchildren: Autumn Kincaid, Devin and Damon Sadler, Carl Peterson, Tierra, Cienna and Acacia Tachick; sister-in-law, Mary Tvedt and brother-in-law, Jerome Lervick, and numerous nieces and nephews. Pearl was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lester; her son, Lanny; great-grandson, Ian Peterson and twin great-granddaughters, Quinn and Kiara Coleman; all of her sisters, Alice Magnuson, Joyce Tvedt, Marlene Gravgaard and an infant sister; all her brothers, Norman, Richard, and Vernon Tvedt; and several nieces and nephews.
