The funeral is not yet announced but will be under the auspices of the Masonic order, probably Sunday. Due notice, however, will be given of the time. Mr. Boyle was a good man, and highly respected in the community. He was one of the very oldest settlers, having come from Missouri in 1854, and settled about three miles north of the city on a pre-emption right to one hundred and sixty acres which he entered, and where he lived and died. Mr. Boyle was 72 years of age at the time of his death, and was one of the oldest Free Masons in the state, being a charter member of Washington lodge of this city which was organized 36 years ago. He leaves a large and highly respected family, one of his daughters being the wife of T. L. McCormick, the contractor. Thus, one by one of the old land marks of "border ruffian days," are called from this world to a better, and soon all will have disappeared from view.
