Description	:	Philip O. Mack, 65, of rural Ney, Ohio, died at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012, in his home after an extended illness. Mr. Mack was a 1964 graduate of Fairview High School and graduated from Defiance College in 1968 with a bachelor of science degree in education. He spent his entire teaching career at Tinora High School, retiring with 31 years of service. While at Tinora, he coached track, basketball and cross country and taught driver's education for many years. Mack, 65, of rural Ney, Ohio, died at 6:40 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2012, in his home after an extended illness. Mr. Mack was a 1964 graduate of Fairview High School and graduated from Defiance College in 1968 with a bachelor of science degree in education. He spent his entire teaching career at Tinora High School, retiring with 31 years of service. While at Tinora, he coached track, basketball and cross country and taught driver's education for many years. He spent many years farming, was recently zoning inspector in Washington Township, served 16 years on the board of directors of Northwest Electric Co-op, attended Ney United Methodist Church, and was a founding member of the Ney Area Jaycees in 1975. For many years he was known as "Fuzzy" in softball leagues in the Bryan and Defiance areas, and was also an avid fisherman. Philip O. Mack was born on August 17, 1946, in Defiance, Ohio, the son of Orval and Dorothy (Burrell) Mack. He married Kathy J. Smith on May 17, 1968, in Angola, Indiana, and she survives. Survivors also include one son, Bret (Debbie) Mack of Ney; two grandchildren, Kaylin and Cole Mack; and one sister, Sherry (Eric) Penrod of Archbold, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 19, 2012, from 3-8 p.m. in the Ney Church of God. Services will be held on Monday, August 20, 2012, at 11 a.m. in the Ney Church of God with Reverend Ron Adkins and Tony Singer officiating. The family will also receive visitors for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10 a.m. in the church. Interment will be in Ney Cemetery.
