Mr. Greeno had been a member of the Methodist church for 86 years and a Mason 61 years. He was the oldest member of the Masonic Lodge and passes away when life must have been more care than pleasure. For several years he has been patiently waiting for the coming of the Master. He was a life long member of the Methodist Episcopal church. He has lived well; he leaves children and grandchildren to perpetuate his race. Death crowns him with everlasting peace. Muscotah (Kansas) Record. Friday, 29 June 1894. p4 Mr. Philllip Greeno, father of Mrs. J.W. Johnson of Muscotah, died at his residence in Hiawatha, Kansas, on June 23, 1894. Mr. Greeno was born in Picua [sic] county, Ohio, April 1, 1893, was baptized into the Methodist church in 18[?]8, moved to Illinois as a pioneer, and to Hiawatha about 24 years ago. He has been a Mason for the past 6[?] years and was buried with Masonic honors. --------------------------------- His first wife, Christina Neff (married April 21, 1826 in Pickaway County, OH) died about 1834.
