Description	:	Phyllis Arvetta Mawyer Harris, 72 of River Road, Faber, died Monday, February 25, 2007, at the University of Virginia Medical Center after a brief illness. Phyllis was born November 15, 1934, in Charlottesville, a daughter of the late Grover C. Mawyer and Myrtle Knight Mawyer. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Lee Browning; a grandson, Caleb Mason Embrey Ramsey; and a sister, Betty Mawyer Megginson. She was a faithful member of Adial Baptist Church and her adult life was dedicated to being a loving wife to her husband, Minor Lee, and a devoted mother to her... Phyllis was born November 15, 1934, in Charlottesville, a daughter of the late Grover C. Mawyer and Myrtle Knight Mawyer. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Phyllis Lee Browning; a grandson, Caleb Mason Embrey Ramsey; and a sister, Betty Mawyer Megginson. She was a faithful member of Adial Baptist Church and her adult life was dedicated to being a loving wife to her husband, Minor Lee, and a devoted mother to her children. While she is in the caring hands of the Lord himself she leaves here on earth her husband, Minor Lee Harris; along with her daughters, Marilyn K. Embrey and her husband, Eddie, of Shipman and Nancy C. Fletcher and her husband, Jeff, of Faber; and her son, Warren Watson Harris and his wife, Cindy, of Lovingston; eight grandchildren, Mark, Tracey, Melanie, Lee, Kimberly, Morgan, Ashley and Jeremy; and two great-grandsons, Zachary and Tyler. A funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Wednesday, February 28, 2007, at the Adial Baptist Church with the Reverend Bill Mitchell and the Reverend Roger Powell officiating with nterment to follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends in the social hall of the church following the service and all other times at the family residence. Friends may call at the funeral home anytime Tuesday, February 26, 2007, and it was requested by Phyllis that memorials take the form of donations to the Adial Baptist Church or the Nelson Rescue Squad.
