Description	:	Phyllis Rosella Kjose, 85, of Elk Point died Wednesday, September 3, 2008, at Sanford Vermillion Hospital in Vermillion, SD. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m., Wednesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elk Point with Fr. David Roehrich officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery, rural Elk Point. Visitation will be 5:30 to 7 p.m., Tuesday with a wake service and rosary service at the church. She married Eldean Kjose on August 9, 1941, in Dakota County, Nebr. Phyllis operated the restaurant at Junction City, SD. She also worked in food service and as a nurse's aid. She was a 35 -year resident of Elk Point. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Elk Point, the Elk Point V.F.W. Auxiliary, and Elk Point Friendship Club. Survivors include a daughter, Sharleen (Jim) Schuldt of Elk Point; sons, Bill Kjose of Elk Point, Gene (Patty) Kjose of Elk Point, Ed (Kim) Kjose of LaCyquie KS, and Russell (Barb) Kjose of Tucson, AZ; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brothers, Hubert (Mary Rose) Girard of Osceola, Nebr., and Richard "Bud" (Anita) Girard of Beresford, S.D., and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Bernadette (Hubert) Girard; her husband, Eldean Kjose; and a sister, Elaine Andrews. Visitation: 5:30 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, September 9, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Elk Point, S.D. with wake and rosary services at 7 p.m. Service: 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2008 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Elk Point, S.D.
