Rev Harvey O Gilbertson officiated, with military honors pesented by the Wyoming American Legion post Mr Andrews died Thursday evening, Oct 2, in Veterans hospital, Iowa City, after several weeks' illness. He was born near Center Jct., Dec 19, 1898, son of George H and Ida H Collier Andrews. He received his early education in the Center Jct area schools. In 1918, he enlisted in the United States Army and served during World War I. He married Marjorie Soper Dec 21, 1921. He was employed as a carpenter for a major part of his life. The past 18 years he made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Lawrence (Ruth) Rieken, Monticello. Mr Andrews was a 50-year member of the Wyoming American Legion post. Surviving in addition to the daughter are a son, Glen F, Long Lake, Minn; another daughter Mrs Harvey (Dolores) Townsend, Marion; 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and a brother, George Andrews, Anamosa Preceding him in death were two children, Beuhl J. in infancy and Ora Mae Plueger May 23, 1955; a sister and two brothers. Casket bearers were James Andrews, Jay Townsend, Dennis Andrews, Thomas Rieken, William Rieken and Edward Eilers.
