To this union four children were born: Dennis Clyde age 14, Kenneth Ralph age 11, Loral Cale age 8 and Cherri Faylynn age 4. ..Ralph received his education at Mount Hope where he spent his entire life. ..He leaves to mourn his departure, besides his loving companion and four children, his mother, Mrs. Sadie McCartney, two sisters, Mrs. George Stones, Red Cloud, Nebraska, and Miss Ethel McCartney, Lincoln, Nebraska; three brothers, Elmer and George of Lebanon, Kansas, and Paul of Red Cloud; seven nieces and nine nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. ..Ralph had not been in the best of health for quite some time and on May 29th he became very ill and was taken to the Mary Lanning hosptal in Hastings, Nebraska on June 1st, where he stayed until June 11th when at the advice of the doctors there he was taken to the Lutheran hospital in Omaha, Nebraska where one week later after everything that human hands and loving care could possibly do, was done, and as the sun was slowly sinking in the west and the time for rest was nigh, Ralph was called to his eternal rest. He confessed his Christ while in the Omaha hospital and was very happy in his new life. ..He was a faithful companion, a loving father and a good neighbor, always willing to help when and where friendly help was needed. ..Funeral services were conducted at the Mount Hope church June 21st with Rev. Raymond Hamilton officiating. Burial was in the Mount Hope cemetery. ..Music was by Eustace Bean, Labon Wagoner, Earl Silsby and Maurice Myers with Mrs. Jake Amen at the piano. ..Pallbearers were Harold Stones, Orval Francis, Fred Wilmot, Orval Fruit, Dale Potter and Melvin Richardson.
