Larson, employee at the Louden Machinery company for 45 years, dropped dead of a heart attack at his desk shortly after reporting for work this morning. A native of Jefferson county, he started working at the Louden firm in 1912and it was the only place he had worked during his entire life. At the time of his sudden death he was a billing clerk in the Monorail Division. He reported for work this morning as usual at 8 a.m. A short time later other employees noticed him slumped at his desk. A doctor and an ambulance were called but the doctor said he had died of a heart attack. Ralph E. Larson, 65, was born Dec. 31, 1891, in Jefferson county, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Larson. He was reared in Fairfield and was a member of the First Methodist church. He was united in marriage to Eunice Hubbard who passed away in 1921. In July, 1923, he was united in marriage to Helen Starr, who survives. He is survived by his wife and three children: Harold, Brighton; Barbara Larson, Philadelphia, and Ruth Larson, Columbus, Ohio. He is also survived by two grandsons, two brothers, Glen who lives at Lagoona Beach (sic), Calif., and Floyd who lives at St. Louis; and a sister, Mrs. A. E. Blackford, Minneapolis, Minn. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, six brothers and sisters. The Larsons reside at 54 E. Fillmore street, but during the winter months they reside at the Turner hotel. The body is at the Hoskins Funeral home where last rites will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. in charge of Dr. J. Henry Teele. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
