OH Mahoning Dispatch, Fri, 1 Aug 1924 "Mrs. Rebecca Bowman Manchester, 72, died at 7:45 last Thursday morning at her home on the Canfield-Salem road, in Green township, after an illness of several weeks with heart trouble. Deceased was born in Ellsworth township, July 9, 1852, a daughter of Andrew P. and Margaret Bush Bowman. At an early age she became identified with the Concord Presbyterian church, where she was always a loyal member and a staunch follower of the Master's teachings. She was always a valued assistant in community activities and believed in making life worth living. She was married to Benjamin L. Manchester Dec. 25, 1873. He preceded her in death 12 years ago. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. F. H. Williams (Nora) at home, Mrs. Ralph Paulin in the home community, Mrs. F. C. Hunt of Canfield, and two grandchildren. Also by a brother, Morris E. Bowman, of Ellsworth township. Rev. Geo Brown, pastor of the Concord Presbyterian church, conducted the funeral services from the family home Saturday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Interment was made in the Grand View cemetery, Salem." "Card of Thanks – We desire to return most grateful thanks to friends and neighbors for the many kindness shown during the illness and after the death of our beloved mother, Rebecca B. Manchester; also for the beautiful floral offerings and for the words of sympathy in our bereavement. Mrs. Frank Williams, Mrs. Ralph Paulin, Mrs. Floyd Hunt."
